City Kids Summer Camp 2024
July 1st - August 23rd
Summer at City Kids means jam-packed days of learning AND having fun while exploring interests, building confidence, and making friends! From cooking and science, to art, theater and gaming, our weekly specialty workshops have something for everyone.
For each week-long session, your child will participate in exploring our weekly theme through various workshops focused on STEAM, theater, cooking, art and movement. Part of the day will consist of 2-hour workshops, taught by highly qualified experts in that content area. The other part of the day, your child is placed in a recreation group where all members will enjoy lunch and downtime together.
Your Child's Day at City Kids
In addition to their enrichment workshops, campers will spend the balance of their time having a blast during recreation time. With access to green spaces like McCarren Park, campers will enjoy downtime in the great outdoors in organized activities ranging from outdoor games to instructional sports. To top it off and to cool things down, campers will spend time at the McCarren Park sprinkler park each week!
Rainy days happen, and we’ve got those covered too! When weather is not favorable or unsafe (rain/excessive heat/excessive humidity) recreation time will be held indoors in our air-conditioned space. Outdoor activities are brought inside our movement space, so kiddos still get to run, play, and move regardless of the forecast.
Sample Daily Schedule
9:00-9:30 AM | Drop Off
9:30-10:00 AM | Morning Group Meetings
10:00 AM- 12:00 PM | Enrichment Workshop (rotates daily between STEAM. Art, Cooking, Theater and Movement)
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM | Lunch*
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM | Campers head outdoors to the park, sprinklers or around the neighborhood
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM | Afternoon meeting | Snack | Dismissal of full day campers
4:00 PM - 6:00 PM | Games, activities and crafts | Pack up for dismissal of extended day campers
